I don't think Ed was ready to rest. He was riding his bike through a local state park and was hit by a park services vehicle.
This happened on Friday morning as I was sitting in a local nail salon with our little cousin visiting from Colorado. We were happily getting pedicures and Ed was happily riding his bike through the park.

I gave each of my children a red solo cup and put them in the kiddie pool.

Thomas scooped up some water and dumped it on my legs to cool me off.

Jason scooped up water and watched it fall back into the pool. Over. And over.

Quinn scooped up water and proceeded to try to drink the entire pool.

There's a bag of frozen peas on my butt right now.
I had 15 minutes of electrical stimulation and heat, followed by ten minutes of massage and then ten minutes of cold. The stimulation made things a lot less painful.
I go back Saturday morning.

Both Jason and Quinn have diarrhea so they are staying home tomorrow and I'm rescheduling my appt with the ( Read more... )
